PLAY TUTORING

PLAY Tutoring is a subgroup of PLAY Leadership, a non-profit organization. It offers private one-on-one tutoring for elementary and middle school students in English reading and writing, Mathematics, Foreign Languages, Science, History, Art, and more. We have a number of passionate middle & high school tutors that have student tutoring experience and are ready to support struggling students. We will work with parents to develop a specific tutoring plan based on the student's current level and communicate with them about their student's learning progress before the end of each course. At PLAY Tutoring, we are committed to improving the academic experience of every student and helping them reach their fullest potential.

Allison Zhang

Allison Zhang is a Senior at Albany High School who has been involved with PLAY Tutoring since 2023 and has served as President for the past two years. She is passionate about making learning enjoyable and helping younger students build confidence while reaching their academic goals. Through PLAY, Allison enjoys mentoring students and creating a welcoming environment where they can succeed. Outside of PLAY, she enjoys volunteering, baking, playing the piano, and spending time with friends. This year, Allison is excited to continue growing PLAY Tutoring and expanding its impact within the community.

Ryan Li

Ryan Li is a Junior at Amador Valley High School who has been actively involved within PLAY Tutoring since 2023. This year will be his second year as Co-President of the subgroup. Ryan is extremely passionate about helping younger students excel in their academics and more. Outside of PLAY, Ryan enjoys participating in kung fu, robotics, programming, and competitive math. In this upcoming year, Ryan hopes to expand PLAY Tutoring’s overall reach and grow the subgroup’s network of tutors and students as well as incorporate new tutors for programming.
