Promoting Leadership in Aspiring Youth
On 8/12, volunteers gathered at Independence High School in San Jose to help prepare and distribute free backpacks filled with school supplies to students from low-income families in the region. With the generous donations and contributions of PLAY members, hundreds of backpacks containing pencils, pens, glue sticks, notebooks, and other school supplies were distributed. As a thank you to PLAY members for their contribution, the San Jose City Council and Senator Dave Cortese awarded PLAY with a certificate of recognition.
