Promoting Leadership in Aspiring Youth
PLAY Leadership youth hand made and donated over 4000 face shields and disposable face masks during the pandemic and we are still going:
- PLAY Math subgroup donated 1,300 face masks and $920 to local firefighters and $659 to the Tri-Valley Chinese American Community
- Donated 1040 face shields to more than 40 health centers and community clinics serving its 165K low-income and medically underserved patients in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties through Assemblyman Kansen Chu and Community Health Partnership
- Donated hundreds of needed face masks and shields to the Navajo Nation US Indian Reservation
- Helped hand out face masks to locals in Milpitas
- Contacted 36 local clinics, nonprofit organizations and essential businesses in the Tri Valley area and donated over 1,000 hand-made face shields
- Donated 300 hand made face shields to Duke Health Center
- Donated over 300 hand sew face masks to Refugee Women’s Alliance (ReWA) in Seattle, local farmers market farmers and Home Depot casual labors
- Made thank you cards for frontliners
- Raised $250 donations and purchased 750 disposable face masks to donate to local homeless shelter
- Our youngest participant is only 7 years old
