Promoting Leadership in Aspiring Youth
PLAY partnered with Kids Against Hunger and helped package food to be shipped to people and locations all around the world. Along with other groups, volunteers gathered to make a positive impact on
communities in need and their efforts reached to
combat hunger in areas as far as Haiti and Ukraine.
Working together, they sorted, measured, and
packaged a total of 25,714 nutritious meals which,
according to Kids Against Hunger, are “made from
four readily available, dry ingredients that are easy
to package, keep for long periods, and require only
boiling with water or microwaving to prepare.”
They include items like soy, rice, vitamins, proteins,
and vegetables.
